DEVELOPER WANTS $8.4M FOR 186 ACRES
A coalition of government officials and local conservation groups have passed the halfway mark toward raising the $3 million needed for the purchase of the Carson Road Woods tract. Developer G. Rieder & Sons Inc. has agreed to sell the 186-acre parcel to Lawrence Township for $8.4 million if the township can raise the money by June 30. Story

BEAR STROLLS THROUGH LAMBERTVILLE YARDS
LAMBERTVILLE A 131-pound black bear that took a meandering stroll through some city back yards last week was captured by state officials and safely relocated to a forested area of Morris County. The bear was a male between 11/2 and 2 years old. Story
