RIG RUNS RT. 31 RED LIGHT, HITS VEHICLE

DRIVER ALLEGEDLY IN VIOLATION OF STATE REGULATIONS

Tractor-trailer driver Jason Reynolds, 31, who allegedly was on state Route 31 in violation of size limits on interstate truck traffic, ran a red light last weekend at the intersection of Route 31 and I-95, hit an SUV and injured its driver, Deliah Downes, of Robbinsville.  Story

Idolator and Tracy CredeIdolator deserved a better fate. With 27 other horses, he was living wild, prey to disease and the elements. They were going up for auction and would probably be bought by slaughterhouses. Then the Standardbred Retirement Foundation heard about the situation. A year and a half later, several of the horses have been adopted, including the aging Idolator.  Story

BIRD WAS FOUND ON PRINCETON UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

A dead crow found in Princeton Borough has tested positive for the West Nile virus, marking the first such discovery in Mercer County. The finding should not be a cause for panic, health officials said. The crow was discovered Aug. 17 by a Princeton University employee.  Story

McCarter Theatre officials have given boffo reviews to the first day of ticket sales for the 2000-2001 season. In all, McCarter sold $102,000 in tickets, including $80,000 worth of individual tickets, and $22,000 in advanced group sales on Aug. 21.  Story
