CONRAIL: MOM LINE IS POSSIBLE
FREIGHT RAILROAD SAYS TRAINS CAN SHARE TRACKS WITH COMMUTER LINE
Conrail told South Brunswick Township officials last week that it doesn't see a problem sharing its tracks with a proposed NJ Transit commuter line. However, Conrail also said NJ Transit would build a second set of tracks along the route, to handle the added traffic. Story

ANTIQUATED CRANBURY TOWNSHIP INTERSECTION A DANGEROUS PROBLEM
Since 1998, the intersection of Dey Road and Route 130 has become the most dangerous place to drive in Cranbury. There have been 90 accidents since Jan. 1, 1998, at the location one-quarter mile from the Cranbury Police Department, Chief Harry Kleinkauf said. Story

12TH DISTRICT CONTEST ENDS IN VIRTUAL DEAD HEAT; RECOUNT LOOMS
Three days after Election Day, the 12th Congressional District race, like the presidential race, remained undecided. Unofficial results posted Wednesday gave Republican Dick Zimmer a slight, 371-vote edge over Democrat Rep. Rush Holt. But numbers from the district Thursday showed Rep. Holt with a 233-vote lead over Mr. Zimmer. Story
